How to Use This Converter
Select an ingredient from the dropdown, enter the number of cups, and get the equivalent in grams, tablespoons, and teaspoons instantly. Different ingredients have different densities — flour weighs less per cup than sugar or butter, so this calculator uses ingredient-specific values.
Why Grams Are More Accurate Than Cups
Cups measure volume, not weight. One cup of flour can weigh 120–140 g depending on how tightly it's packed. Using grams with a kitchen scale gives consistent baking results. This is especially important for Nigerian chin-chin, puff puff, and cake recipes.
