Life Milestone Tracker & Age at Future Date
Track key life milestones (voting, driving, retirement), see which you've already reached, and calculate your exact age on any future date.
How to Use This Calculator
Select your day, month, and year of birth from the three dropdowns. Your age, total days lived, day of the week you were born, and a countdown to your next birthday are all calculated and displayed instantly.
The calculator automatically accounts for leap years and varying month lengths, so the result is always exact to the day.
How Age Is Calculated
The calculation uses the Gregorian calendar and accounts for leap years automatically. The "days" component shows the number of days since your last birthday, not the total days in the current month.
Example
Taiwo born on 15 March 1995, calculating on 20 March 2026
Age in Nigerian Context
Knowing your exact age matters in several Nigerian legal and administrative contexts:
- NYSC eligibility: Corps members must be under 30 years old at the time of graduation (with some exemptions). Check your exact age before graduation to plan accordingly.
- Retirement age: Civil servants retire at 60 years of age or 35 years of service (whichever comes first). Private sector retirement is typically contractual.
- NIN and passport: Age verification is required for National Identity Number registration, international passport, driver's licence, and other official documents.
- Marriage age: The legal minimum age for marriage in Nigeria is 18 years under the Marriage Act, though customary law varies by state.
- Voting age: Nigerian citizens can register to vote at 18 years of age.
